New York Wedding Photographer at St. Andrew’s School and the Delaware Art Museum

Courtney and John are high school sweethearts–a true testament to the loving foundation and strength of their relationship.  Courtney was on a bus with the St. Andrew’s School basketball team, headed for a game.  In a moment of serendipity, team member John overheard his manager (Courtney) having difficulty recalling the name of the song, “Are You Gonna be My Girl” by Jet.  He decided to burn a CD for her.  This was the start of their friendship.  It wasn’t until the following school year after an additional tennis season and summer had passed, that they began to date.  One week in, John already knew that Courtney was the one.  Just like that Jet song, he wanted her to be his girl.

Seven years later, they became engaged on the beach in Newport, Rhode Island.  The down-to-earth couple had been out walking his parents’ dogs.  John wandered off, and then coaxed a reluctant Courtney away from her eager search for sea glass.  On bended knee, John proposed to Courtney.

In honor of their beginnings, Courtney and John held a beautiful wedding ceremony at their high school alma mater, St. Andrew’s School.  Their reception followed at the Delaware Art Museum.
