I am so excited to announce that the Philadelphia Wedding Project has chosen a winner! Congratulations to Caitlin and Rodney! They have an extraordinary story to tell. Both in the Army, they first met in March 2006, having both recently arrived at their unit, the 9th Engineer Battalion.

I am excited to stretch my photo storytelling skills to really dig into the core of their story and tell it from many perspectives. It will be really interesting to have 5 other fabulous photographers and some of my dearest friends all working together. With so many photographers, we can each take a different aspect of the day, follow other important people in this story to give it a completeness that we have never done before at a wedding.

For anyone that has never been in the FUEL house, you have to go check it out. This space is  awesome. Two levels, white walls, marble floors, a faux fireplace and cool architectural elements. FUEL is a gallery and event space. The art always rotates and there are a ton of options to this place. Event FX can do so many great lighting elements to change the space. Gobos, uplighting, color washes; you name it, they can do it.

For this event, Offshoots did the most amazing flowers integrated with wires, planes and lighting. AND of course Feastivities made super yummy food and presented it in such a cool way. Lighted bars, hanging tables and two stewardesses to help you with all your needs.

Leather Craftsman is an amazing album company; producing some of the top wedding and portrait albums in the country world. They are truly handcrafted works of art. It was so cool to see all the different workstations, machines, presses, materials and artisans creating these books. Each book is probably created by 15 different people. I was just amazed at the quality and workmanship of these albums.

A huge thank you goes to Greg DeTullio, our representative, who took us on this tour. Him and his family are multi-generational bookbinders.

After our little trek, we piled into Jenn’s SUV and celebrated St. Paddy’s Day with green beer and Guiness. Nothing like getting 6 friends, who just happen to be awesome photographers, in one place together for good times and lots of laughs.
