Allie has been going to school since she was 2.5 but today marked a big milestone. Kindergarten in a new school that is huge and has big kids all around. I was excited for her but she was much more reserved.

“What if they don’t like me? What if they make fun of me?” “Remember that time when I was little and that girl pushed me down?”

Wow, all of these questions coming from a 5 year old! AND this 5 year old, says hi and talks to strangers on the subway and smiles at everyone and has always had a ton of friends. Going to a new school is a big step for everyone even a 5 year old. I wish I could tell her it gets easier as she gets older but I still ask those same questions every time I go to a networking event or have to meet new people. However, as I think she will find out, once you go in and meet someone it gets easier to talk to other people and you realize everyone else was thinking the same thing before they walked in. I guess you really do learn everything you ever needed to know in kindergarten.

I have been photographing Gray since she was 6 months old (1, 2, 3) , now she is 4!! Time flies. She also has a new baby brother who I could just eat up. Talk about the roundest, chubbiest cheeks and gorgeous blue eyes you have ever seen. It’s fun to see how much gray looks like her mommy and T looks like his daddy. I love getting to spend time capturing families and their day to day lives- I wish I got to do more of it. So, if you have kids or friends with kids tell them to give me a call or even gift them a session. What would be more cherished and needed than pics of your family?
