Gray and Baby T

I love this family! I have been photographing Gray since she was 6 months old (1, 2, 3) , now she is 4!! Time flies. She also has a new baby brother who I could just eat up. Talk about the roundest, chubbiest cheeks and gorgeous blue eyes you have ever seen. It’s fun to see how much gray looks like her mommy and T looks like his daddy. I love getting to spend time capturing families and their day to day lives- I wish I got to do more of it. So, if you have kids or friends with kids tell them to give me a call or even gift them a session. What would be more cherished and needed than pics of your family?

I LOVE this shot. How many siblings just stare at each other? What is going through their minds. Baby T could not take his eyes off of Gray when she was around.

OMG! Look at those crystal blue eyes, chubby cheeks and that drool! He is beautiful!

I also LOVE this photo. What is he thinking? This is the kind of expression you just can’t make happen.

I found this youtube video on my friend’s facebook page. Kodak really hits a home run with this commercial. I have been thinking a lot about what photographs really are. More than just images on paper but memories, raw emotion, little time machines. The very last part almost made me cry, it is an old man looking at a photo of his wife and at that moment you see and understand.

I was in New York City to photograph a mini session with Baby A. She is so itty bitty. She had a little cold so we didn’t really get to do a lot of fun naked pics. Every time we loosened the blanket she screamed. Talk about wanting to be swaddled. She was a little early so maybe she is trying to make up for it now.

Is that a smile I see?

Maternity photos documents the beauty of motherhood and the beginning of a new life. While some would rather forget what they look like because they feel like Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the girl that turned into a blueberry), it actually is really nice to look back and see that time in your life. Having professional maternity photos helps you remember the good aspects of pregnancy. I know I wish I had more than one photo of myself pregnant. It is kind of cool to look back and see how big my stomach was. I still can’t believe a baby actually fit in there.

This mom to be was a referral from my fab bride, Marisa. Thanks Marisa! I was given permission to show just a few.

Baby C – newborn session

I could just eat baby “C” up. Baby “C” is the newest edition to my fabulous wedding couple, Julia and Mike. I had been anticipating this session ever since I knew she was coming. Anyone that knows Mike and Julia know they are not tall people. Julia is about my height and a skinny minnie but baby “C”: she is one long baby. Baby “C” is only 5.5 weeks old and already wearing 3 month clothes! She also has one of the most expressive faces ever.

Mom was in every shot because every time we put Baby “C” down she would start to wail. So mom, draped in a black cloth held her, which made her very happy. Towards the end of the session, she finally warmed up and let mommy put her down. Personally, I think Baby “C” decided to cooperate because she pooped on my black cloth and felt a little guilty. =) Oh, the joys of photographing newborns.
