Open House at the Please Touch Museum

Then come join Max and Me, Campbell Studios, me and other great vendors at the Open House at the Please Touch Museum. This venue is gorgeous and has a real carousel. I am so excited to announce that the Philadelphia Wedding Project has chosen a winner! Congratulations to Caitlin and Rodney! They have an extraordinary story to tell. Both in the Army, they first met in March 2006, having both recently arrived at their unit, the 9th Engineer Battalion.

I am excited to stretch my photo storytelling skills to really dig into the core of their story and tell it from many perspectives. It will be really interesting to have 5 other fabulous photographers and some of my dearest friends all working together. With so many photographers, we can each take a different aspect of the day, follow other important people in this story to give it a completeness that we have never done before at a wedding.

Studio Open House

Last week, I had an open house at the studio sponsored by the Society of Wedding Planners. It was a very nice members only event. With about 30 guests, I had a chance to talk with everyone and connect with people I have only heard of. Joshua’s Catering did all the food and the jazz music was provided by Victor Baker and Mike Kennedy. The food was super yummy with some of my faves: figs wrapped in prosciutto, endives and goat cheese and crabmeat on crackers. Man, I am starving just thinking about it. All the guests left with great little gift bags full of relaxing gifts and a Philadelphia Wedding magazine. Here are a few photos from the event since I had a hard time photographing, playing hostess and mingling with the guests.
