Amy and Ryan met at St. Joe’s University, where we did their Get to Know You session (aka engagement session). They became friends and remained friends throughout all four years of college, but never really dated. After they graduated, Ryan moved away and Amy began work as a teacher in Philadelphia. They always kept in touch over the phone. Because of Ryan’s job, he moved a few times over the next 2 years. Until finally he moved to New Jersey (sort of close to Philly) which is when he thought it would be a good idea to go on a date. He came to Philly to take Amy out to dinner and they realized they should have started dating a long time ago! Personally, I think going out and experiencing real life brings a much needed perspective to an enduring relationship.
