As I have mentioned before, the toasts are a time to really get to know the couple. More and more, I see that the toasts are why a wedding film is so important to have. Hearing the things that your family and friends say about you and how they feel about you and how your relationship has changed the other person, is worth every penny. I know for us, we have our wedding vows hanging up in our bedroom and when I turn on or off the light, I see them. Even if we are pissed at each other, I have to look at them when I turn off the light  it just melts away the tension. So take a look at your wedding photos, listen to the toasts and remind yourself how much that other person really means to you.

Kristina got all of her girls the same dress in different colors for getting ready….now that is a gorgeous group of girls

Kristina’s hair and make-up were flawless. This was the first time working with Daneene Jansen for make-up and I will definitely be recommending her again. All the girls looked amazing. Another reason I enjoyed this wedding was all the business partners that I got to work with. Judith Campbell from Campbell Studios was the planner and kept everything running smoothly. She had a huge job because the ceremony was in the morning at Christ Church, then a cocktail hour at the Arden Theatre followed by carriage rides and walking tours for guests, an out of town accapella group, another cocktail hour and the reception. I am tired just thinking about it. Beke Beau, make-up artist extraordinaire, made Nicole gorgeous. Ilonka Comstock did the flowers and Kris Sumey of Event Fx did all the lighting at the College of Physicians.

These dresses were really pretty and each girl chose a slightly different cut based on their own figure and style

This Caleb’s sister, I absolutely loved her look and wish i could pull it off. She also had a cool tattoo.

Nicole and Caleb left several hours between the ceremony and reception for their formal photos. I love having time to capture the guests during cocktail hour. To many times couples just don’t leave enough time and you end up skimping on both the formal photos and the great candids you can have of all your loved ones at cocktail hour. Why not give yourself the time to enjoy everything and either schedule photos before the ceremony or enough time in between the ceremony and cocktails.

Georgetown Acapella Group sang during cocktail hour and then led the guests up to the reception singing I wanna dance with somebody, which when the geusts entered the room the band was singing as well.

The College of Physicians is a huge room with mahogany trim and old portraits of doctors. It can be pretty dark in there but thanks to EventFx, the lighting brought life to the room and added great atmosphere
