Lori and Paul- Wedding at Lake House Inn

Lori and Paul had a beautiful day for their wedding at the Lake House Inn. I think it was one of the only days this year that did not have rain. Lori and Paul had so many fun details. Blue Chucks, pink Chucks, blue vests and dresses, vibrant flowers, place cards drawn by Paul himself even table cards with their favorite date spots on them. They also had “That’s what she said” napkins which is their favorite thing to say to each other. It makes me laugh because that week I met two other couples who say it all the time and are now thinking of doing the same thing with their napkins. What I loved most was how personal they made everything. Lori, Paul, their friends and family were a ton of fun and very warm and open. I am glad I have gotten to share a piece of their life.

I like taking photos of family and friends just before or after they think I am taking their formal photo because they are relaxed and genuine. Its also funny when someone catches you being sneaky.

Anyone who knows Paul knows he is a Batman fan. I made his day when we found the symbol in the city and then they had one at the reception. They actually entered to the Batman theme. Well, what do you expect from a comic book artist?

Sneak Peek – Lori and Paul at Lake House Inn

You may remember Lori and Paul from their Get to Know You session. You know, the ones with Batman? Their wedding at the Lake House Inn was just as fun. Here are a few pics as I was doing their first round of edits. I won’t spoil the fun elements from this wedding. You’ll have to wait for another blog post for those.

Paul is a comic book artist and for their proposal he drew a comic book about their relationship. It was very cute and several elements were integrated into their wedding.

Bill and Angie – The Lake House Inn

Bill and Angie are so awesome. When Angie called me up, I immediately loved her. She was so full of energy and excitement. Angie called and said, “I want to book you right now because we are both pilots, have very different schedules and I have no idea when we’ll have time to meet you.” Angie was right, I didn’t get to meet her until my studio opening in February. Score! They were vivacious, beautiful and so much fun; I couldn’t wait for the wedding.

Last Friday came and it was raining. For anyone who knows the Lake House Inn, the ceremony is usually outside overlooking the water. I was so bummed, but when I walked in, Angie was ecstatic. She was laughing, joking around and super relaxed. Angie had the best attitude: “there is nothing we can do, so why not have fun.” Angie said there was one thing she was disappointed about: they couldn’t have their fly over and a wing tip by a friend’s plane. The rain did subside at the very end of the evening.

Angie and Bill: you are perfect for each other and I thank you for having me share in your day.

Featured Real Wedding on The Knot

The Knot Real Weddings is featuring Jennifer and Andrew who were married at the Lake House Inn in Perkasie, PA, last September. They have a great little story about how they met. Jennifer and Andrew met on a dating site and fell in love. He proposed to her with a gummy frog ring which she had given to him as a gag gift early on. Jennifer and Andrew had a really beautiful, traditional Jewish wedding. The details were gorgeous, the chuppah was handmade and the reception was one huge party. Check out the article on the knot!
