Then there is Moda. Their work reflects a strong European influence and each partner brings something different to the table. (pardon the pun) There were 4 tables set up for the open house which was in one of their smaller meeting rooms. Each table had a different style and theme. What I like is that they are things that no one else is doing. They are also really beautiful, stylish and every element is tied together.

I know I say this all the time but Nicole and Caleb are a ton of fun. Nicole is hilarious! She says whatever comes to mind- just like me. That is what I love about her. Caleb is a little calmer but you sense his wild side. So glad I was able to pull out his craziness for these photos. Nicole and Caleb met when she was actually on a group date with his friend. The friend sat them next to each other and the rest is history. I think she said they talked and laughed into the morning. I can’t wait for their wedding. It will be starting out right around the corner from my studio, at Christ Church on 2nd and Market, with a gospel choir and other surprises. Then doing pictures all day around the city and ending up at the College of Physicians. It is going to be a crazy day and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Marisa and Greg had a beautiful day. The sun was shining and the temperature was just right. They had a nice intimate ceremony at the church Marisa grew up in and then headed to the Manor House at Commonwealth. Jennifer O’Neil at the Manor House was a dream. She made sure Marisa and Greg had everything they needed, kept us running on time and made sure everything looked exquisite. Brittany from Petals Lane did the beautiful purple and cream flowers. The bouquets were very luscious. To round out the evening Jason from Synergetic Sounds kept the dance floor moving all night. I love DJs that know how to keep the party moving and keep quiet. One of my pet peeves is a DJ that has to talk between songs . Now on with the photos!

The reception was held at the Phoenixville Foundry. As usual, Bob Tomasso and his staff pulled off a flawless event.

The flowers were done by Ilonka Comstock who did  very simple but modern chic flowers.

Of course, the day went off without a hitch thanks to Erin Proud of Proud to Plan. She organized, prepped, placed, chased and smiled the whole time. Erin is so much fun to work with and very talented at her job. When the day runs smoothly and no one(even the other vendors) hears about anything going awry, that is a sign of a good planner.

Donna found this telegram among her parents things. It is a telegram from her dad to her mom when they were dating. They met when he was in the hospital and she was one of his nurses.

Donna’s sister helped her with make-up and getting ready. Her sister used to be a dancer so we had lots to talk about.

I just love the light and composition in this picture. Donna is heading down to see Chad for the first time.

This may not be the most technical or beautifully composed photo but I just love the emotion. Chad must have looked at and embraced Donna like this at least 20 times that day. You can just feel the love he has for her.

The long walk with dad down the pathway to the ceremony

I was so excited that I caught this. Instead of the typical hug or handshake, Donna’s dad gave Chad the high five! Her dad is such a prankster! When I called because I couldn’t find their road, he answered as if he was a store and I thought I dialed the wrong number and called back twice.

I have never seen this done before and would love to see it again. They handed off the wedding rings to the first guest and it circulated throughout the ceremony. Each guest held and blessed the rings before returning them for the vows. What a unique and personal way of involving everyone.

Chad’s brother did the ceremony and really screwed up the lines. I think he said, “Chad do you take Donna to be your husband”

Donna acquired these vases from the Guggenheim Museum 

They borrowed an old cadillac and I had to get Chad in front of it. There is another photo of him sitting in the car in front of the house and it looks like a 1950′s commercial for the American Dream (car, house, kids)

Ali and Tim love to go fishing and spend many hours fishing at this little secluded pond near their house

a little sneak into the woods for some fun

I had seen this dilapidated barn on the edge of the road on our way to the pond. Ali said she noticed me gazing longingly at it and knew we just had to stop on our way back. We pulled over and parked the car on the shoulder; expecting some farmer with a shotgun to chase us away. Since I am writing this, you can see we were never bothered.

Ali is stunning- big brown eyes, blonde hair, petite frame and a heart of gold. I bet all her 6th graders have crushes on her.
