New York Wedding Photographer in Philadelphia at the Four Seasons

You may remember Amy and Ryan’s fun Get to Know You session at St Joe’s. When Amy and Ryan first met in college at St. Joseph’s University their freshman year, who would’ve guessed that they’d be getting married. Ryan often likes to say he already knew she was the one when they became friends soon after attending a party hosted by a mutual friend. Regardless, both he and Amy agree that when they officially started dating two years out of college, the first date was the clincher. This is a couple who loves to laugh and bond over new specialty pizza discoveries. They became engaged at Long Branch Beach after Ryan proposed following a dinner in the Pier Village. Now, here’s a look at their beautiful ceremony at the St. Andrew’s Church in Newton, Pennsylvania, as well as the reception that followed at the Philadelphia Four Season hotel.

Waterworks Restaurant – Kim and Micah

Kim and Micah had a gorgeous, intimate wedding at the Waterworks Restaurant. I absolutely love this place. The outside is to die for and the inside is beautiful too. Plus, where else would you have Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies dropping in on your wedding. Yes, I said Ryan Howard. He didn’t even know he was actually invited.

Another fabulous element to the wedding was getting to work with Andy of First Floor Films. They rock at wedding cinematography and actually provided footage to channel 6 for their news story.

Kim is extremely allergic to cats and dogs but loves dogs immensely. So I bought her the next best thing, plastic pets!

My favorite photo of the whole day- I love how tight they are holding each other and Kim’s expression. It is a moment they will forever cherish.

Jessica and Dan – Morris House Hotel Wedding

Jessica and Dan had a beautiful fall wedding at the Morris House Hotel. The Morris House is a great boutique hotel in the heart of Center City near Washington Square Park. The day was perfect, maybe a little windy but relatively warm for the season. Jessica and Dan were very nervous and took them probably a good hour to relax. Luckily we did all the photos beforehand so by the time they got to the actual ceremony they could breathe. It also helped that their wedding party was so much fun. Thank you to Ashley Bartoletti for coming out and second shooting with me.

Lori and Paul- Wedding at Lake House Inn

Lori and Paul had a beautiful day for their wedding at the Lake House Inn. I think it was one of the only days this year that did not have rain. Lori and Paul had so many fun details. Blue Chucks, pink Chucks, blue vests and dresses, vibrant flowers, place cards drawn by Paul himself even table cards with their favorite date spots on them. They also had “That’s what she said” napkins which is their favorite thing to say to each other. It makes me laugh because that week I met two other couples who say it all the time and are now thinking of doing the same thing with their napkins. What I loved most was how personal they made everything. Lori, Paul, their friends and family were a ton of fun and very warm and open. I am glad I have gotten to share a piece of their life.

I like taking photos of family and friends just before or after they think I am taking their formal photo because they are relaxed and genuine. Its also funny when someone catches you being sneaky.

Anyone who knows Paul knows he is a Batman fan. I made his day when we found the symbol in the city and then they had one at the reception. They actually entered to the Batman theme. Well, what do you expect from a comic book artist?

Kim and Micah – Get to Know You session

Kim and Micah are so much fun. We laughed the entire time. They started out feeling nervous but they are both naturals. It also helps that Kim laughs and smiles when she is nervous. We had quite an adventure: almost getting arrested because we weren’t allowed to be on the train tracks (which was so worth it BTW) and then getting some super yummy Thai food after the session. Than you for making my job so easy!

One of my fave shots of the day

Kim is just gorgeous and so much fun. I told her to just move around, be silly, be sexy, work the camera and she just played. It was more an exercise in getting relaxed and loose so she could be natural; and she just looks fab doing it.

we were just getting ready to leave and I turned around and saw the sun and we shot a few more photos and that is when the cop came over and….

arrested them! ok, so they just took our ID’s and info and probably put us on some no fly list so we reenacted what could have happened if we had been even naughtier

One of our fist shots of the day. As I was walking over to meet them for coffee, I saw this door and knew we had to use it. When Kim saw it, she was so excited too

Here is a slideshow of their guestbook that all their friends and family signed. All night people came up to me saying it was the coolest thing they ever saw. People were also retelling the railroad arrest story all night long. I think it might have morphed into us hitchhiking on the railcars but hey, it gave them something to talk about. ;0)
